Kick-off the new year in style!

What a year! The River Cottage Cookery School has gone from strength to strength, giving thousands of cooks the skills and confidence to produce fantastic, seasonal cookery in 2011. Why not kick-off the New Year in fine style by joining head chef Gill Meller and his band of River Cottage experts - including Mark, Tim and Steve - for Four Days at River Cottage? Our four-dayer is the ultimate kitchen experience - each day we'll cover a different core subject: bread, fish, meat and veg. You'll head back up the famous Park Farm track after this intensive, hands-on course with all the confidence, skills and enthusiasm to cook a range of delicious dishes at home or at work for your friends and family. Hugh will pop in and see how you're getting on during the week. Who knows, it might inspire you to become a chef yourself?

Our new Plymouth Canteen and Deli in Plymouth has had an amazing first month, so if you want to join head chef Joe Draper (pictured centre) for lunch or evening service check out our online booking page. Meanwhile over in Axminster, there are a few tickets remaining for the second session of our Ginger Bread House Workshop on Tuesday 20 December (5-6.30pm). Axminster top dog Tim (right) is busy putting the final touches to his New Year's Eve menu, a six-course feast accompanied by live music. Call to book: 01297 631862. No River Cottage Stinger Ale for Tim and his dedicated team though - they're open for breakast on New Year's Day!
