IT'S YOU, our visitors to River Cottage HQ, that make our courses and events what they are: sensational, magical, memorable. But they couldn't happen without bucket-loads of elbow grease from the team behind the scenes. Students from the University of Plymouth recently chose a perfect Summer's day at Park Farm to exclusively produce a short film with the River Cottage gang - the ones you don't see on the telly. Watch this rare insight to the small group of amazing people that make it all happen. Watch the video >

• Meanwhile our friends at the Pop-Up Hotel have finally 'popped up' at River Cottage HQ, offering fine food - with a little help from Tim Maddams - and glamping at its best. Check out this exclusive offer >

Truly un-four-gettable: Four Days at Park Farm

OUR HUGELY-POPULAR four-day cookery course is the most perfect River Cottage experience. Each day is based on one of the four cornerstones of cookery: meat, bread, fish and veg. It's an intensive, hands-on approach, and you'll head back up the track with the confidence, skills and enthusiasm to cook a range of delicious dishes at home for friends and family. Who knows, it might inspire you to become a chef yourself. "The pace is just right, balancing heads-down cooking with downtime to savour your efforts and the magic of Britain's most filmed farmhouse," says Claire Hargreaves from the BBC Good Food magazine. Watch our video featuring Hugh, who'll pay you a visit during your time at Park Farm to offer some wisdom.

Summer dining this Bank Holiday at the Canteens

WE CAN'T WAIT for the August Bank Holiday weekend, now under a fortnight away. Both of our Canteens in Axminster and Plymouth will be opening for dinner service on Sunday 26 August, but we'd advise booking online if you wish to join us - it's traditionally a busy time. Fingers crossed for more sunshine so that we can take more advantage of the beautiful garden in Trinity Square, Axminster and our waterfront seating area in Royal William Yard (pictured below). As usual we'll have a wonderful variety of local, seasonal food on the menu plus a variety of fantastic producers dropping by to show off their wares. Find out what's going on in Axminster and Plymouth this month.

IT'S BEEN over six months since the devastating fire which destroyed the barn at River Cottage HQ. There's not much to see at the moment, but work is well underway on its replacement and we'll be keeping you up-to-date.
