Christmas at River Cottage No one does Christmas like we do at River Cottage, we love to decorate our famous farmhouse and toast the season with an aperitif or glass of locally made bubbly.  From 1 October, we'll be marking the 12 week count down by giving away something special to you each week. Christmas We have a great selection of courses and events this winter. From foraging fun to meaty madness, we've got it! Two Day Cookery School Join us for an extensive two days of interactive learning. You will cover meat, fish, bread, baking and veg. Chocolate Cookery A whole day devoted to sweet treats and chocolate in savoury recipes. A must for chocolate lovers everywhere! Game With the game season approaching, brush up your skills with this City & Guilds accredited course. Fish This accredited course looks at the cooking techniques of local, sustainable flat, round and oily fish. Essential Eating This course covers a range of skills in nutritious cookery, helping you make balanced choices. Axminster News Join us for our Veg 'n' Hedge evening on Fri 27 Sept. Vegetarian meal + talk from RCHQ head gardener Craig Rudman. Bristol News Special event - The Whole Hog, a celebration of nose to tail eating hosted by Steve Lamb, Weds 2 Oct.
