River Cottage HQ | Rising Star Can't see this email? View online
After weeks of preparation, our five budding chefs battled it out at River Cottage HQ to win the coveted Rising Star 2014 title. Lily Biggs, Jamie Glover, Chloe Ride, Cameron Kibble and Sophie Munro had just one hour to produce a dish inspired by Hugh's latest book, Light and Easy. They each held their nerve as Hugh and the judges tasted their food in front of a live audience and film crew. The winner has now secured a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with 12 months employment at River Cottage HQ. They will learn directly from the team of top chefs, cook for their distinguished guests and be the face of their apprenticeship programme. Watch the video to find out who won > Meanwhile, if you, or someone you know missed out on this year's competition, it's not too late to enter the Eden Project's Rising Star competition. Our dear friends down in Cornwall are on the look out for amazing young talent, so if you fit the bill, don't hesitate to get involved right now!
