What's in Season
The best thing about cold, rainy days is the excuse for making, warming soups, stews and casseroles. Root vegetables are plentiful now with all their glorious colours, but try and buy from local shops whenever you can for the best flavours. Venison is low fat if your waistband is still a little snug and mussels and scallops are perfect if you are cutting down on meat.
