It’s a busy time in the River Cottage garden. We’ve been prepping the beds ready for sowing – but not just for veg, for more flowers than ever too.
Not only will they be adding colour and beautiful scents but they are great for encouraging bees as well.
We’ll be growing lots of edible flowers such as marigolds and cornflowers to keep our chefs happy.
We’ve just planted loads of tiny sweet pea plants which will give a great display not just in the garden but freshly cut for displays on the dining table at our events. Sweet peas are also a favourite with our River Cottage brides who often have arrangements pride of place at their weddings.
