Hello, The high skies and orange sunsets that we’ve been having on the farm this autumn have been dramatic. As the winter nights close in and the temperature drops, our fields have been tickled with the first frosts of the season. Our winter brassicas are still in full harvest. We’re going to be enjoying the rich green flavours of kale and cavalo nero, and the lighter notes of our leeks and celeriac right up to Christmas and beyond. The tinkling of Christmas is also in the air here at Park Farm. We’ve been raiding the hedgerows and fields for greenery and berries to decorate the doors and rooms. We’re ready to embrace the festivities with some seasonal feasting and a fair bit of forage infused booze. We have a brand new video to show you of Hugh cooking a wonderful upside down chocolate plum pudding from our latest book, perfect for festive entertaining. Have a fabulously festive December, we hope to see you here at Park Farm or at one of our Canteens in the coming weeks. The River Cottage team x | ||||||||
