January Newsletter - all the latest news from River Cottage HQ

River Cottage has been veiled in fog in recent days, the farmhouse not visible until you begin to descend into the valley. While there have been fewer events in the past week or two, River Cottage is still a hive of activity as the team are busy making exciting plans for the year ahead.

When the ground is cold and frosty, our gardeners use their time to map out their varieties of vegetables and plants to grow throughout the year. Despite the cold weather we are still harvesting most days. Leeks, parsnips, celeriac, kale and Brussels sprouts have been trickling into the kitchen, providing the perfect accompaniment to the lamb and beef from the pasture.

Happy New Year, we hope to see you soon!
