Summer is here and if you're looking for ways to keep the family entertained then join us for the River Cottage Festival. Taking place over the August bank holiday, the Festival is the perfect laid-back weekend for families.
AND IT IS FREE FOR ALL UNDER 16s! | | | | | Make a bug box or turn a gypsy flower, these fun activities are suitable for even our youngest festival goers. | | | Delightful puppetry and a stomping soundtrack to inspire adults and children alike. | | | Sit around the campfire and be enchanted by great storytelling. | | | Make your own bow and try your hand at archery. Or carve a spoon and get back to basics learning to make fire the caveman way. | | | Make your own festival headdress with feathers, flora, fauna, sequins and ribbons with sustainable milliner Chloë Haywood. | | | Kids can get stuck in with some hands-on cookery, making pizza or beetroot brownies. | | | | Timeless fun for children! Make mud pies in our mini River Cottage pallet kitchen. | | | Little ones can learn some outdoor skills in our Festival Forest School. | | | Have a go at hula hooping, juggling, riding a unicycle and acrobatics. Everyone is welcome (including mum and dad). | | | Join Emma for a needle felting workshop and create you own felt creature. | | | See how junk can be turned into art, play on vintage wooden games and splash around with water toys. | | | Join Funkee Munkees for some sing-a-longs and dancing. | | | | |
