Festivals are a wonderful opportunity to step away from your everyday life and experience new things and make memories with loved ones.

The River Cottage Festival has been carefully curated to offer you a full programme of attractions and activities to fuel your imagination.

CRAFT WORKSHOPS

Head to Workshop Row, a corner of the festival dedicated to arts and crafts and take part in one of the following craft workshops:

Headdress-Making
To ensure you look every bit the boho festival beauty, milliner Chloe Haywood will be on hand with flora, fauna, beads and sequins to help you make your very own festival headdress.

Natural Woodcraft
Join River Cottage regular Dave Ewers and you and your little ones can try your hand at woodcarving. Make a bug box or turn a gypsy flower.

Natural Craft

Visit These Two Hands and have a go at printmaking and create beautiful leaf print wall art or make pretty tealight holders using a selection of pressed flowers, leaves, feathers and raffia.

Willow Weaving
At Forged n Willow, children can drop in to make a willow headband and adults can make a beautiful summer willow wreath and decorate it with flowers, dried veg & moss.

Leatherwork
Learn how to create simple products from leather with Raw Edge Leather.

Papercraft
Spend some time in the calming and creative pursuit of papercraft. Littlezart will show you how to create beautifully intricate designs inspired by insects with just paper and scissors.

WONDERFUL WALKS

River Cottage is situated in a designated Area of Natural Beauty and the farm is teeming with wildlife and nature. Throughout the weekend, there will be guided walks to help you learn more about your festival surroundings.
Foraging with John Wright
John is our foraging guru and has been with River Cottage since the early days. His walks are the stuff of legend and you'll be amazed at what he'll find in the hedgerows.

Geology Walk with Eddie Bailey
The earth beneath our feet can tell us the story of the last 250 million years. Geologist Eddie Bailey will share some of that history and tell us more about the soil that helps the veg in the Kitchen Garden grow so well.
Wildlife Walk
Even with a farm full of festival-goers, you'll still be able to spot plenty of wildlife if you know where to look. Come for a walk around the farm and discover the creatures who call River Cottage home.

Star Gazing with Wessex Astronomical Society
River Cottage is tucked away in a valley, seemingly miles from the nearest town and roads. Therefore we do not suffer from light pollution, making it the perfect place for stargazing. Round off your day with a guided walk and appreciate what lies above us.
All walks are free. Check your programme when you arrive for times and meeting places.
CALM CORNER

The Calm Corner is the place to go if you want a bit of 'me time'. Here you can lie back and have your tensions rubbed away with a relaxing massage and a reiki session to relax and relieve anxiety. Bookings will be taken on the day.

Also within Calm Corner is the Yoga Tent, experienced yoga teacher Barbara Mella will be leading classes throughout the weekend. Book in advance and choose between restorative, faster vinyasa flow or family classesBOOK NOW
THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Channel your inner Bear Grylls with a Bushcraft and Wilderness Living session. Make your own primitive bow and have a go at archery or learn to make a fire the caveman way and carve your own spoon and much more. Wildway Bushcraft will be giving demos and running workshops suitable for adults and children throughout the weekend.
Forest School Activities
Little ones can learn more about the countryside in our Forest School with Penny from Seaton Wetlands when River Cottage becomes the world's best classroom for the weekend.
When you arrive you will be given a FREE PROGRAMME that contains all the details and how to take part in the activities taking place over the weekend.
Weekend camping tickets are almost sold out,
we anticipate they will be gone by this weekend.
Day tickets are also selling fast!
Tickets start at just £25 and all under 16s are FREE.
